Kathy’s car wouldn’t start the other morning. After I took her to work, I opened the hood to see a big pile of blue junk on the battery. It was terribly corroded, and the connection crumbled when I touched it. I thought about trying to fix it myself, but I had a very busy day. I called AAA and had it towed to the Toyota dealer. About three hours later, they called to say my car was ready. He said they had replaced the battery cable and battery. I asked how much? The repairman said it was covered by warranty. I love my Toyota.
The other morning I was confessing and repenting of some thoughts and attitudes that weren’t right. I often agonize and beat myself up over these types of things. The Father said to me it is time to move on because these are covered by the blood of the Lamb. I love my Lord.

It was a great game, but my team (The Florida State University) lost. Miami has knocked FSU out of contention for the national championship too many times. They really just seem to have our “number”. Sometimes I feel that way about satan. He just seems to know the little things that set me off or get me going. He seems to know how to defeat me. When those times come, I have to remember that we are only talking about a couple of plays. The game has already been won by Christ. I know satan, the accuser, is going to try to get me to focus on one or two things that will make me feel like a loser. Romans 8 tells me that I am more than a conqueror. I need to live like the champion that Christ has made me.
