Erma Bombeck was an American Humorist in the 1970’s who wrote newspaper columns and books. She died in 1996. I just read this great quote from Erma. I hope it is true of me.
“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.”

I read this the other day. “If you are occupied with correcting your own faults, you will have no time to see those of your neighbor.” That was a good reminder about the plank (Matthew 7:1-5) that is in my eye. It also helped me remember that the gift of finding fault that I seem to have was given to me for my life and not others.
